Saturday the Battle of the Keg of Nails takes place in Cincinnati at Paul Brown Stadium. Probably will be as many Louisville fans at the game as Cincinnati since its about about a little over an hours drive down the road. Cincy has won this game the past 3 years. Pretty much since Petrino left the Louisville campus the Bearcats have had the upper hand in the series. The Bearcats are sitting at 4-1 this season and Louisville is at 2-3. Should be a tough game for Louisville considering our offense cant score points. Our offense line is bad and we have about 12 true freshmen getting playing time which includes our qb. Cincy has Zach Collaros back along with 11 starters back from last years team. Louisville has seemed to play better on the road which is a plus but still with the way Cincy can score I'm not sure Louisville's offense can keep pace. Howver, this is basically a new season since this our first conference game of the season. Louisville's defense has played well this season but can they get turnovers? I think its a must for that to happen for Louisville to have any chance here. I remember when I was in school and John L. Smith then Bobby Petrino was our coach we used to kill Cincy every year. Who can forget the one year when the game was in Louisville and the Bearcats came out in pregame and stomped on the bird mid field? We went on to win that game 70-7. Those were the days. Seems like a life time ago. Now our offense has a hard time scoring 14 points a game. Anyways, until the Louisville offense really shows me they can score I cant predict them to win a game against an offense like the Bearcats. I have Cincy 28 Cards 13.
