Detroit takes out the Yankees...Thank you baseball God's.

Last nights Detroit and New York game was great to watch.  I think the blog I put up yesterday was spot on and Detroit did it.  They jumped out early on the Yanks, which I thought was crucial and they maintained the lead.  New York had their chances with the bases loaded twice but couldnt come through with a big hit.  Detroit has 2 former Rays on their team who seemed to be crucial in the victory in Delmon Young and Benoit.  Benoit did walk in a run with the bases loaded then struck out 2 Yanks to stop any big inning.   Big time performance.  Young has hit 3 home runs in this series which is now a Detroit post season record.  I couldnt help but think this Yanks team is surely getting old in front of our eyes.  Jeter doesnt look near the same.  Posada has been there since the 1970's and A-Rod looks like he is thinking about popcorn showers from Cameron Diaz but hey ....who isnt?   Anyways it was a great performance by Detroit to take out New York on the road in a game 5.  It was also great to see the stunned crowd after A-Rod struck out to end the game.  Kind of cool when the Donald Trumps of the baseball world dont make it past the first round against CEO's of Ford.  So the ALCS is Texas and Detroit.  Should be a great series Texas sure has a great line up with a lot of pop.  Detroit has Verlander with a line up that has some pop to. My prediction here I will have to get back to but, at least I know I will be watching now that the Yanks are outta there.  Thank you baseball God's.
