ALCS - GAME 2 Texas leads series 1-0
Texas took the first game of the series last night in a rain fest. Little surprised considering Verlander showed he was human. He had been pretty unstoppable but Texas has some bats in that line up. C.J. Wilson pitched good coming back from his first post season game against the Rays when he got shelled. The Texas bullpen is strong. Scherzer takes the bump tonight and what I think is a must win for Detroit. I know its early but the Tigers need to get a split in Texas and head back to Detroit 1-1 in the series. Scherzer can do that for the Tigers but the Rangers bats have been hot other then the first game of the post season. If Texas goes up 2-0 it could be a tough climb back for the Tigers but their capable. Lets see.

NLCS - GAME 1 Series tied 0-0
So its Philly and Milwaukee in the NLCS........oh wait. Philly what does a 102 wins during the regular season with arguably the best starting 5 pitching staff in the league get you? I guess a first round exit. Seems to be the year of the underdog. St. Louis clawed and scratched its way into the playoffs over the last month then took out possibly the World Series favorite in Philly. The Cardinals kind of have the feel of the Green Bay Packers last year. The Pack fought their way into the playoffs then got hot at the right time to make a run to win the Super Bowl. I really like St. Louis to make it to the World Series. I'm sure Pujols has something for Nigel Morgan. The Brewers won the first post season series since 1982. Price Fielders days in a Brewers uniform are numbered and have been hot at home all year. Lets see if the Brewer's can prove me wrong.
